FINANCE PAGE ON THE VENDOR’S WEBSITE
Including a highly visible, easy to find, “Financing” page our your website is critical for several reasons:
– Customer awareness that financing is an option. This makes your products “affordable” and your company easy to
buy from
– Provides a landing page for social media campaigns that include “financing available”
– Salespeople can point customers to the page if they have questions about financing. This way they don’t have to be
the finance expert and be asked questions they aren’t comfortable answering.
– It’s important the page is easy to see and they don’t have to dig for it or scroll all the way to the bottom of a page to
know this is an option. The more prominent it is, the more impactful the financing program will be.
BANNER CAN BE CUSTOMIZED WITH VENDOR LOGO, PRODUCT SHOTS, etc.
The application is only 4 short pages and takes about 2-3 minutes to complete.
Customer can upload their equipment quote and their last 3 months' bank statements.
TRAINING FOR SALESPEOPLE / DEALERS
Before any press release and social media launch for the new program, the salespeople and dealer channel (if
applicable) need to be trained on the program, the process, and where to point interested customers. There are
various methods for conducting the training, and whether done in person or virtually, we found the vendor’s
participation in the presentation is valuable in providing both a formal endorsement and a bridge between the
company and Quail.
Below is an example of a “podcast” format where the vendor poses the questions and the Quail
representative provides the answers. This format, rather than a Quail PowerPoint presentation, provided more
engagement from the audience.
READY FOR LAUNCH
The website pages are built, the sales team is trained, the flyers are created and the program is ready to be rolled out.
The go-to-market strategy needs to treat the financing program as a new product with a proactive approach focused on
“Customer Awareness”. It can not solely rely on the salespeople to discuss the program with customers as they may
not be fully comfortable with the new financing product. The formal launch should include;
– Press Release
– Social Media posts
– Flyers for electronic distribution and hard copies for in-store marketing and trade shows
– Include “financing available” options on every quote issued to a customer
– A Special Financing Promotion tied to the kickoff
